What is Physical Therapy?

Physical therapy is your personalized path to wellness, wellbeing, and healthy living. As a licensed and certified practitioner, I combine your values, my professional experience, and relevant research in order to provide you with personalized hands-on care and exercises to get you back in action.

I see your body as a singular, functional unit in which all parts and systems are interconnected and interdependent. Whether you’re working through a new injury, managing old and persistent aches, or living with chronic pain — I’ve been there, I can help you, and I want to hear your story.

Your Safety is my Priority

Being a PT patient can be a vulnerable thing: you’re trusting me to care for your body and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Having been an injured patient myself, I know how crucial it is to feel safe and seen in PT appointments. I welcome patients of all genders and I prioritize discreet, private, communicative sessions.
I know that safety can be especially important for my patients working in pelvic health rehabilitation. Pelvic PT addresses an intimate area of the body, and it’s vitally important to me that you feel safe at all times. Our sessions can include internal exams or manual therapies, but this is by no means a requirement. Before any session begins, we’ll establish your boundaries and discuss how I can best help you to heal within your comfort zone. I’ll guide you and follow your instincts, knowing that no question is too small, too embarrassing, or too silly to ask.

Is Physical Therapy right for me?

It can often feel very overwhelming, disorienting, and confusing when you leave your doctor’s office with nothing more than a piece of paper that says “PT Referral” scrawled across the top.

But if you made it this far, you’re already on the right path. If you’re here, it means that you’re ready to be an active participant in your own mental and physical wellness. Physical therapy can have a profound effect on pain management, movement capability, injury prevention, and improving your overall quality of life.

Through it all, I’ll be your teacher, your cheerleader, your partner, and your safe-place-to-land as you start your journey towards moving without pain and living without fear.
