Meet Dr. Julia Rosenthal
Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist
Certified Pelvic Health PT
About Dr. Julia Rosenthal
I provide comprehensive and highly individualized treatment, whether it be in the clinic, remotely, or in your home. Whether you’re an injured athlete, living with chronic pain, or experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, no injury, condition, symptom, or question is off-limits.
“Julia Rosenthal, DPT, OCS, PRPC”
What does that mean, and how do those initials help me to help you?
The trail of letters after my name simply means that I’m not only qualified and certified to help you, but that I also provide you with well-rounded and thorough care.
I hold a BA in the “Culture and Philosophy of Healing” - a degree that I designed myself - from New York University.
I completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Columbia University, and graduated with honors in both academic and clinical achievement.
I returned to NYU to complete my residency in dance medicine and orthopedics at the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries, becoming a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
After witnessing the power of pelvic floor rehabilitation as a student, I completed my Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
What This Means For You
I’ve been where you are. As a fitness enthusiast, I know the frustrations and the pain that come with injury. I remember what it’s like to feel rushed out of the room by doctors and specialists, having been given nothing more than a grim diagnosis, a confusing prescription, or a skeptical dismissal of my pain.
When you work with me, you’re my partner as well as my patient. You have nothing to prove. Your voice is heard and valued as the guiding force behind the personalized treatment plan that I craft for you. Together, we can achieve more than getting you “back to your old life.” I can help you to grow toward independence and joy as you approach movement with a confidence that’s free from unmanageable pain and fear.
