Ongoing Aches and Pains

The Problem & Our Solution
Persistent pain and discomfort can be incredibly draining—especially when it feels like you’ve tried everything and nothing has really worked. Maybe it’s hip pain that flares up every time you go for a long walk, neck tension that never quite goes away, or back pain that’s been on and off for years. You might feel like you’re just managing it, rather than truly getting better.

At Empower PT, we help people who feel stuck. Whether you're dealing with something that’s never fully resolved or a nagging issue that keeps returning, we take the time to understand your body, your history, and what really matters to you. Our approach goes beyond short-term relief—we look at how your body moves, breathes, and responds to stress to build a path forward that feels doable and grounded in your real life.
How We're Different:
One-on-one care that meets you where you are.
At Empower, your sessions are never rushed or cookie-cutter. We create space to really understand your symptoms and your story—so you’re not repeating yourself or doing the same exercises over and over without progress.
We look at the whole picture.
Sometimes pain sticks around not because the problem hasn’t been “found,” but because the bigger patterns haven’t been addressed. We assess how your body moves and functions as a whole—not just the part that hurts.
Support for the long haul.
Healing from something that’s been going on for a while doesn’t happen overnight, but we’re with you every step of the way. Our approach is collaborative, clear, and built to help you reconnect with your body and move forward with more confidence.
What to Expect:
Initial Assessment:
We’ll start by hearing your full story—what’s been going on, what you’ve tried, and how your symptoms are impacting your day-to-day life. Then we’ll do a thorough movement-based assessment to understand not just the painful area, but how your whole body is moving and compensating.
Treatment Plan:
Based on what we find, your sessions might include manual therapy, nervous system regulation, movement retraining, progressive strength work, and education. Everything is tailored to you—and evolves as you do.
Commitment:
Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions for 6–8 weeks, with care spaced out over time as symptoms improve. Whether you’re trying to resolve something fully or just want a consistent place to check in and feel supported, we’ll find a plan that works for your goals and your schedule.
Patient Story
“A.” came to Empower PT after months of trying to manage what she described as constant hip tightness. It showed up when she sat for too long, during yoga, and especially after walking or hiking. Stretching gave temporary relief, but the sensation always came back—and she was starting to feel like she was doing something wrong.

She’d been told by other providers that it was a flexibility issue, but nothing she tried seemed to create lasting change. At Empower, we took a step back and looked at how her hips were moving as part of her whole system—how she was breathing, loading her body, and coordinating movement between her pelvis, spine, and legs.

We discovered that the tightness was less about a lack of flexibility, and more about underlying tension patterns and how her body was trying to create stability. Through strength-based work, breath and pressure system retraining, and movement strategies that made her feel more supported, things began to shift. Within a few sessions, she noticed the tightness was showing up less frequently—and over time, she was able to move, hike, and sit comfortably without constantly feeling like she needed to stretch.
